Coaches – Rib Launching, Rib Berthing and Coach Information

Coach ribs must launch from the public slips in the harbour which are detailed in the Venue Site Map Below.  Ribs will not be permitted to be lifted in at the Yacht Clubs.  All rib trailers will be stored in the Rib Trailer site on the Carlisle Pier and all cars and vans must be parked in another area of the harbour using the pay & display system (€4 in many areas and €20 per week)  no cars or vans will be permitted in the trailer storage area.  All Registered Coach Ribs will be berthing at the National YC for the Event and must display their support boat flag which will be issued at Registration.

Coach Registration will take place in the Royal St George YC on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th Sept and will commence at 9am.  If coaches wish to avail of the Sailors Apres Sail Pasta each day, the Opening Ceremony Buffet, the Tuesday Irish Party night Meal and Final Prizegiving Food this will cost €60 for all.  You will be issued with the appropriate Wrist Band.

Visa Requirements

If you wish to travel to Ireland or pass through  an Irish port in order to travel to another state  you may need an Irish visa.  Regarding visa rules, all information can be  found on the following link and IOHA can assist in  matters relating to each countries requirements: https://www.dfa.ie/travel/visas/visas-for-  ireland/  NB – The visa process requires 8 weeks lead time so if you require a Visa please ensure to make your application early. It is the responsibility of all sailors to ensure that they have both a valid passport and entry visa if required.

Buoyancy Aid/PFD Requirement – Ireland

Please note that you must bring a suitable life jacket or buoyancy aid as it is a legal requirement in Ireland to wear these when going afloat.  Please also bring your wet weather gear with you as summer in Ireland can mean a wide range of weather.

Apres Sailing, Social Events Lay Day

A dedicated social area for sailors will be set up in  both Royal St George YC (RSGYC)  and National YC (NYC) during the event. Master Class Fleet dinners will be hosted by NYC,  RSGYC and Royal Irish (RIYC) during the event.

A full social  programme will be developed with assistance of  ILCA and local Laser master sailors.
